The video shared by the user Michael Ledesma says in: “The beauty of Catholicism: Vocation to the consecrated life- A novice full of joy on the day of her reception of the habit. The haircut ceremony is a symbol of her consecration to Christ, shedding the finery of the world and the vanities, since in the world a lot of emphasis is placed on women's hair. It is a sign of total giving of herself, that she is giving all her natural beauty so that her life is hidden in Christ. Her hair becomes an offering to God and will be replaced by her veil, a sign of her total dedication to Our Lord”.
